Opened on 28.04.34. Extended in two stages on 20.08.65 and 29.04.66, with the store fully modernised and converted to self-service. (Pictured). Extended and modernised again in 1977 (opening 29th April). Was reduced in size after the company's decision to withdraw from the food business with surplus space returned to Chartwell Land (aka Woolworth Properties Ltd). 'C' type refurbishment on 27.01.95 and updated to the latest 10/10 specification after demerger.
