Store History & Background:
Woolworths first opened in High Street, Perth on 26th September 1925 and was extended in 1935 (opening 1st May). 1951 (opening 20th January and adding a Restaurant) and 1966 (opening on 3rd June, which also saw the reskinning of the building from the outside to make it look more modern). The store was refurbished in 1978 (reopening on 2nd November). The store was converted to the comparison store format in 1987 which included the closure of the restaurant. It was upgraded to the latest 10/10 specification after demerger.
