Store History & Background:
Opened 13th September 1924 and extended on 2nd August 1939. The store was remodelled in two stages in the 1960s with the first part opening on 1st July 1964 and the second on 27th May 1965. It was fully refurbished in 1980 (reopening on 25th March) and again in 1990 (reopening on 23rd March) and was upgraded to the latest 10/10 format after demerger.
