Store History & Background:
Woolworths first opened in Clarence Street, Kingston (opposite Bentalls) on 14th November 1914. The store relocated to the current premises in Market Square (on the site of the former Swan Hotel) on 5th May 1931 with building works continuing to the rear of the store to open extensions in September 1933 and May 1972. Kingston is one of our largest 10/10 format stores.
